We Might Have Created Perfections: Characters

Channing Tatum:
Channing Tatum is a boy from Hantu Island, an island where there are no computers and pretty much no technology which makes him do lots of manual work.  Since he was little his dad thought him how to parachute from the top of the mountains in the island. Since he was small it was something he really enjoyed to do. When he was about 16 he was parachuting and as he was falling his parachute didn't open, he thought he was going to die and because he had such a great sense of humor he pretended he could fly. As surprised as he could be he realized he was flying, arms extended and he could control where he wanted to go. Channing decided to tell no one because he thought they might think he was crazy and sent him back to the continent. When he was 17 he went to visit his best friend in UK, Tom Daley, a professional diver. Tom showed him his new computer and as soon as he opened it Channing started feeling dizzy until he fainted. They took him to the hospital where they discovered nothing so Channing went back to Toms house. Back at tom's Channing told him about his secret of flying and he explained why he thought he fainted. Tom promised no to say anything and not to ever use a computer again. Channing went back home and did not tell his parents what happened. Channing went back to school from spring break when he saw a new kid in class. His name was Ryan Lochte.

Ryan Lochte:

Ryan Lochte was a normal american guy until he moved to Hantu island. He loved swimming, it was his favorite sport, he loved it so much he decided to become a professional swimmer. he didi and went to the 2012 Olympics where he met tom Daley. Since he was small ryan had not led a normal life because his family had not much money, he never got any stuffed animals or pets. Once ryan arrived to Hantu island he met Channing and because both of them where considered the 2 most ham some in the island they did a dare, the one who jumped from the cliff into the ocean with out freaking out would win. Ryan knew he could dive very well because Tom Daley taught him so he decided to take a shot at it and Channing knew he could pretend to fall while actually flying. When ryan was about to jump a little girl offered him her cat for good luck. As soon as he touched it ryan fainted and fell down the cliff. Everybody was very sad because nobody could go save him and he was very deep down and with no conscience. People waited for about an hour to see if his body emerged and and hour and a half later appeared ryan, everybody clapped with out really knowing what happened. Channing knew what had happened, he also had powers, the one to breathe under water.

Write Now: Reading Minds Would Be Amazing

Write Now: If you had one superpower what would it be? Why? How would you use this power?

If I had one superpower it would be being able to read peoples minds and know what they are thinking. I would choose to have this superpower because it would be very fun knowing what people are thinking. I would use this power to help the world by learning what criminals think and what they are planning and then telling the authorities about it. I could also help the authorities by interrogating criminals and by doing that knowing what they are thinking such as "I can't believe they think its me who stole the banks money" and then i'll know if they did it or not. I could also help in mental hospitals by figuring out what the patient is really thinking and what they really want to do. Something very good I could do with this power is go to the Golden Bridge and just sit there and when I see someone approaching the side of the bridge try to help them before they are in the ledge ready to jump to the cold and dark ocean.

I think it is a very awesome power because usually people say invisibility, being able to fly, super strong etc. Those things could be very cool superpowers as well but i don't think they would be as useful as reading minds would be. With super strength you can destroy things that may be bad for the world but you might accidentally destroy things that are good too. Flying could be usefull to chase criminals but it could also husrt you if you accidentally run into a tree or into a plane causing more damage than good. Invisibility would be a very interesting power to have because you can go anywhere with out people noticing, this could be harmful for the world if you decide to use it in a bad way such as stealing things and scaring people.

I would choose reading peoples minds out of all the choices because you can learn a lot just by sitting quietly in the room with somebody. The bad thing is if people are thinking negative thoughts about you or about people you care about you might feel hurt and cause damage in both of the lives of the people involved. The downside of having this superpower would be being in the same room with lots of people could become really annoying because it would be like being in a room with everybody talking and that could become very annoying and frustrating. This problem could be solved if you could choose whose mind you would like to read and not having to try to choose just one in a crowded room.

I would love to have this superpower because I could not only help lots of people but it would also be a very fun thing to do on the weekends on the park, just getting to know a persons story with out getting to know them. I think it is not the most desirable superpower by people all around the world but it would be something that would make me happy.

HW: Opposites Do Attract

The first tablets of Gilgamesh reminded me of Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl, Serena and Blair have completely opposite personalities but both of them "rule" Manhattans Upper East Side. I think Serena is like Enkidu because both can be very powerful but decide to be serene and calm instead of destroying everything that comes in their ways. What I mean by this is that when the temple prostitute took from Enkidu the possibility of roaming near the water hole with the animals he did not destroy her he simply moved on and decided which battles where worth fighting. Serena did the same when Blair did not let her model for her mom's fashion line but instead of fighting she moved on. Blair has the same sense of superiority Gilgamesh has, both need to be in power and need to feel they "rule". For example when Serena is regaining her social status as Queen Bee Blair feels like she has to knock her down a spot. Gilgamesh also fought against Enkidu when he stepped on his way to the bridals room. Another thing Serena and Enkidu have in common is that when they believe in something they fight for it. For example Serena fought for Dan even though he was with Blair at the moment because she still loved him. Enkidu did the same by stepping in the way of Gilgamesh going into the bridal room. The characters are all alike and different in many ways but I think Blair and Gilgamesh and Serena and Enkidu have very similar personalities.

Infer Why Not?

I infer she wants to go into the beach.
I infer she wants to ride her bike.
I infer she doesn't like the rules
